Garage Door Lock is Elocksys Inc's patented deadbolt locking system for garage doors.

Garage Door Lock's keychain remote and optional keypad work with all types of garage doors and integrate with all brands of openers to open, close and lock the garage door automatically. Garage Door Lock even shuts and locks the garage door if it is left open.

Garage Door Lock's safety features include audible and visual warnings before the door closes and manual operation for emergency use.

How Does It Work

The Garage Door Lock control electronics mount on the side of your existing garage door opener. Garage Door Lock connects to the bell switch terminals of your opener.

When your door is closed, the lock heads, which are securely mounted on your garage door, extend a solid steel bolt to keep the door from moving. On a roll-up door, the bolt goes through the door track. For a single piece door, the bolts extend beyond the door frame.

When you want to open your door, either press the button on the remote, or on your bell switch. The Garage Door Lock will unlock your door, and then your opener opens the door.

When you want to close the door, press the button again, and your door will close. Once the door is closed, the Garage Door Lock automatically locks.

For extra security, the Garage Door Lock turns off the power to fixed code openers. This ensures the opener does not respond to any signals.

I wanted to thank you for the Garage Door Locking system which you installed at our home. Not only does it work superbly, but it affords much more security than an ordinary 'roll up' door by being firmly locked into the side rails on each side when it is down!

This is a real comforting and true security factor which gives us peace of mind knowing a thief cannot get into our home by way of the garage door!! The red 'LED' light which shows from the street when the door is closed is but another great deterrant to anyone 'casing' from the street. I have been showing all my neighbors our door and would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone !!

I had a minor problem with the Homelink but that was my fault...I went on the Homelink site and their is a video showing the programming procedure...My mistake was that I did not register the Homelink in my car with the Genie unit... I purchased my Elocksys lock after our house was broken into.
Not being at all mechanically inclined, I was still able to do the installation with no problems. The installation instructions were clear and correct.
My friends and neighbors who have seen my Elocksys, are very impressed. They are always shocked and stunned when I show them how easy it is to open a garage door from the outside. They all think that because they have a garage door opener that they are secure.
After my demo or showing them the video on Elocksys website, they all agree, garage door security is nonexistent.

Just thought I'd drop you an e-mail and let you know what I think about your product. As you know I have two Pro Series 135A locks. One word describes it;GREAT! I love this product! The sense of security it gives me. It puts me at ease. As I told you before, I'm a Police Officer and deal with burglars all the time. They like things easy and wouldn't bother with a garage with this lock. The one thing I REALLY like, is how I set the garage door to close after 5minutes of being left open. What a feature! As you know sometimes we become so busy, and so in a rush we tend to forget to close the door. I would just like to say that I really love my Elocksys Garage door lock. It brings a much needed peace of mind in this day and age where we all keep a lot more valuables in our garages. I love the automatic closing feature, I no longer have to worry about my bad memory if I closed the garage door or not. I don't know how many times I turned around and drove back to my house becuase I couldn't remember if I had closed it, but now i know that even if I forgot, with in 20 minutes it will close on its own. I also liked that it was fairly easy to install, assuming you are fairly mechanically inclined, all you need is a drill, saw, a few screw drivers and you can have it installed your self within a few hours, or you local garage door installer would be able to do it for you too with directions provided. The only thing I decided not to follow directions on is to drill a hole for the little LED that tells your the garage door is locked, I didn't want people to know that I have a locking system on my garage door, even if they knew about elcoksys systems out there, there is now way to tell if you don't have the led showing. So if you ever had a second thought about if you closed the garage door after you left your house, or you know how easy it is to open a garage door with a coat hanger then I suggest you get one of these systems and never worry again!

Hi, I think that your product is the best thing made to stop burglar's or unwanted people form gaining access to your garage. I purchased mine after a break in , i was on line looking for something to work with my garage door opener. After all whats the sense of having a door opener if you cant use it . It was easy to install.and worked flawlessly . the dead bolts lock the door securely and there is the added benefit of the red led that shows that the locks are engaged . I think its great. I've told all my friends and neighbors. Idon't think that a garage should be built with out one. once again a great product

How to Keep Burglars out.. Points to remember

1.

Garages--Should be as secure as any other area of the house because: 

• A. They often contain ladders and tools, which could be helpful to a burglar. 
• B. Attached garages provide visual cover for a burglary.

2.

House Number--Should be clearly displayed front and back.

3.

Lights--Exterior floodlights (front and back) and over garage are recommended.

• Interior-timed lighting devices should be utilized when not at home.

4.

Basement Windows--Often overlooked by homeowners, basement windows should be secured to prevent forcing. Window locks should not be vulnerable if the glass is broken. Screening materials can be used effectively on these window wells or on window framing.

5.

Doors--Solid core wood doors with rugged frames that cannot spread apart with a pry bar are recommended.

6.

Door Locks--Quality dead bolt locks having a minimum 1-inch throw are recommended. These should be mounted so one cannot open the door after breaking a window. Mounting the lock low on the door can some- times eliminate this problem. In other cases, a double cylinder lock will solve the problem.

7.

Shrubs--Should be kept low enough so as not to block possible points of entry or to conceal a potential attacker.

8.

Windows--Glass is most vulnerable to attack. Fortunately, many burglars are reluctant to break windows because of noise and because windows are often visible from the street or from neighboring dwellings. Windows hidden from view must be most securely protected!
